We have heard so much about Egyptian pyramids, how it was constructed some 4,500 years ago. I wanted to know why it lasted this long and I read from a site
how Ancient Egyptians built the pyramids using man-madestones, which look exactly like natural rocks.
The builders of this pyramids were not like some of today’s builders who barely leaves the site before the news of collapse building starts flying around.
They suffered to make stones which looks like rock! It’s a lot of hard work that paid off. When they were planning on the type of sand and other materials to be used, the way it will be mixed, how long it will dry before using it, how to dig the ground and so on, am sure people without vision will be laughing at them calling them dreamers.
I remember someone telling one of my child to keep quiet it’s better you speak English than murder Igbo language yet this same person is joining to comment on their improvement today.
Don’t focus on the problems you are presently having as you work on your language speaking or teaching your children, instead focus on transferring it to the next generation. Igbo language can be said it is successfully transferred to the next generation of Igbo children when the learners of can speak, read and write Igbo language.
Imagine if the English we are learning is not written. Some of us started speaking English almost from the womb yet we are not yet speaking like the English people, how will it have been, if it’s not written.
